I am writing to you on behalf of Geoff Dunlevie who was not only instrumental but also an absolute pleasure to work with in finding our Lovely Laguna Home. My wife and I had been looking to purchase a home in Laguna and we had started our search on our own, merely browsing on the weekends what Laguna had to offer. On one of our visits, my wife had run into a home for sale to check it out and she met Geoff. While I was waiting in our car, she walked over to advise me that she had just met an Agent that she felt had all the characteristics of someone we could not only trust but also someone that we would love to work with on finding that Laguna Home that we had so cherished. I took the opportunity to meet Geoff and I was immediately impressed with him and knew that Geoff was the right fit for us. Unfortunately, my Father subsequently became ill and our home search was placed on hold. Despite the fact that Geoff had put some time and effort into looking for potential homes for us, he was so easy to deal with, patient, and was completely respectful of our situation, yet he was always willing to answer any of our questions even though we were no longer actively searching due to my Father's condition. While my Father peacefully passed away at the young age of 93 years, we were now ready to sell our home and relocate to Laguna. While we sold our home within 3 days, we had local agents and the experience of selling our home was absolutely miserable. Geoff was a savior for us in that our experience with him in purchasing our Laguna Home was an absolutely educational experience and an enjoyable one. We were very fortunate to of been blessed by having the opportunity to work with Geoff and being able to know that he always had our best interest at stake. Geoff's assistance, patience, and dedication were a pleasant addition to a very hectic and overwhelming process. Geoff's ability to handle all aspects of Real Estate, including the ability to engage in meaningful discussions about various neighborhoods, and home values, and his valuable insight into many issues that may have been overlooked, was instrumental in making the process manageable for us. Geoff's work product speaks for itself. One home we looked at was a probate sale and he was able to guide us through the process and educate us on the nuances of those types of sales, which can be very tricky. His relationships with the other Agents were significant and made our tours of homes meaningful, in that we never felt pressed for time or felt awkward asking questions to the Seller's Agent. I believe his relationships with Agents are priceless, in that he understands the valuation set by a seller and provided valuable insight into our offers and ultimately the negotiations which finalized our purchase. Geoff's work is always complete, insightful, and free of error. Geoff ensured that we were aware of and met all relevant deadlines and he had a very good grasp of researching what comps existed for evaluating offers etc. Geoff conducted research in locating prospective homes that met our desires and had some nice programs that would send us new homes coming on the market. Geoff's final work product was impressive and his final product was always professional and well presented. Geoff was always the consummate professional. He was always punctual and kept us informed at every stage of the process. Geoff was conscientious, organized, and always well-prepared. Geoff was also responsive to suggestions, worked extremely well with others, and did not allow the sometimes emotional aspect of buying and purchasing to cloud his judgment and focus. Geoff holds a high expectation for his work product, whether he was completing tasks as tedious as sending us emails he had already sent, photocopying, or as involved as negotiating on our behalf and preparing a meaningful offer knowing how such an offer may be received by the other party. Geoff's desire and dedication to his clients never ceases. Geoff remained available late into the night if needed and he was always responsive to all of our needs, including those which dealt with our personal angst during the negotiations, as the emotions can run wild. Geoff was an absolute pleasure to work with. We even had the opportunity to meet his lovely and wonderful wife Rhonda who shares many of Geoff's attributes. Rhonda was extremely patient with us taking so much of Geoff's time, including one weekend when their daughter was getting married and Geoff continued to communicate with us. Geoff's demeanor is consistent, always enthusiastic, gregarious, and supportive. Ultimately, we had-have a lot of confidence in Geoff and depended upon him tremendously throughout the process. Not only did we meet a great Real Estate agent, but Geoff is now a great friend of our family as well. He was the listing agent on the house we were looking at and we were not currently working with an agent. Upon initially meeting him we were right away drawn to his charismatic and personable demeanor. He ended up asking us for our information and said he would be happy to send us any listings he know of that might fit our search criteria. We heard from him that same day via email. He was very thorough and extremely knowledgeable about the area as well as the current market. When we were out of town a listing popped up that was of great interest to us. We all know when the market is hot it can be easy to miss out on the house of your dreams if you don't get in there fast. Well as it turns out that listing just so happened to be the one we ended up purchasing. And I have to be honest in saying that I truly believe if it hadn't been for his quick action to get in there and video it for us we may have lost out on the home of our dreams. The entire purchase was a smooth transaction and dare I say a pleasant experience. I attribute this all to Geoff being our agent and always going above and beyond for us. This was not our first purchase and we have been through this many times in the past with other agents. Working with Geoff was a completely different experience and he made what is typically a very stressful time in someone's life very easy. We had so much trust in him that we left him with blank checks to handle anything that may have come up while we were out of town. Geoff is seriously such a cheerful pleasant guy that takes great pride in what he does. It truly shows through in all aspects of his work. In Geoff, we not only found a top-notch agent but we also feel as though we found a friend for life.
